On 13 and 14 March 2026, Chef Jordy Navarra and his Manila-based team will bring the award-winning Toyo Eatery to Shanghai, offering guests a rare exploration of contemporary Filipino cuisine.
Named after the Filipino word for soy sauce - a simple ingredient with profound depth - the restaurant is renowned for uncovering the complexities hidden within humble flavours and traditional cooking methods.
Toyo Eatery's considered approach to Filipino cuisine has earned widespread international acclaim. In 2018, it was awarded the Miele One To Watch Award by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, and has since remained a mainstay on the list. In 2025, it received further recognition with One Michelin Star in the inaugural Philippines Michelin Guide.
